The Centre for Translation Studies invites early-stage and experienced researchers to get together, talk about their projects and activities, exchange ideas and think about possible collaborations. Previously, the research exchange has brought together researchers from Philosophy, Jewish Studies, English, Romance and German Languages and Literatures who explore acts, processes and cultures of translation across a range of epochs and contexts.

Our understanding of translation is wide and allows for both linguistic translation as well as, for instance, cultural translation, the translation of ideas and cross-medial transfer as well as self-translation etc. We look forward to a genuinely interdisciplinary exchange!
